Bio of Mr. Byong Gil (Ron) Suh, Honorary Council of the Republic of Bulgaria in Vancouver 

Mr. Suh is at present the President & CEO of Bisco Dental Products (Canada) which was founded in 1991.
Presently Bisco Canada exclusively distributes products from Bisco Inc., USA, carbon fibre posts from R.T.D France and impression materials from Italy.  Bisco Dental Products (Canada) is also the exclusive Canadian distributor of LM ErgoMix products from Finland.

 Mr. Suh also serves as Chairman of Joong-Ang News Media.

Aside from his business activities, some of Mr. Suh’s community efforts include:

Mr. Suh sits on the current Board of Directors of Council to the Dean – UBC Dental School.

He is presently the Executive Director of the World Overseas Korean Traders Association in Korea.

Former Chair of the Hanin Heritage Society.

Past Chair of the Korean Education Society.

Co-founder of the C3 Society (a non-profit organization launched in 2003 to foster bridges between the Korean and Canadian communities).

He also sat on the Board of Directors for Mount St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and he was an elected   member of the Board of Directors of the Point Grey Golf & Country Club.

Mr. Suh was a member of Team Canada to visit South Korea with Prime Minister Jean Chretien and his Cabinet Ministers in 1977.

Mr. Suh was also one of the stakeholders to oversee who was included in the Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s entourage on the state visit to Korea for the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the Republic of Korea.

Currently a member of the National Unification Advisory Council of Korea.
Mr. Suh sat as the Chairman of The National Unification Advisory Council - Vancouver Chapter from 2013 for 2 year term.  On July 1st, 2016 he was re-appointed for the second term by the President of Korea. The National Unification Advisory Council is one of Korea's constitutional government organizations advising the President of Korea regarding the unification of Korea.

On December 31st, 2003 Mr. Suh was awarded a National Medal “Suk-Ryu-Jang” from the South Korean Government for his outstanding service to the Vancouver Korean community – in particular for his work with the Korean Language School of the Korean Education Society.

On  December 15th, 2015 Mr. Suh received the National Merit Мedal “Mo-Ran-Jang”, the highest merit national medal given to a civilian in the Republic of Korea.
